MISC: *Water bottles are encouraged.  They must be plastic, non-leaking, and your child must know how to secure the top so there is no leaking.

   Safety measures for MEMS:

1.  LPSS has asked all school personnel to discontinue any electronic communication (facebooks, twitters, texts, emails, calls...) with  students.  This excludes school sponsored activities communication. 

2.  MEMS will allow a fax or signed parent note to change your child's dismissal procedure.  PHONE CALLS will no longer be an acceptable method to change your child's regular procedure for returning home.  Please understand this is for safety reasons!

Another Parent/teacher conference is tuesday 10/25. Papers to schedule will be sent home the week of Oct 17th. if you feel like a conference is not needed you aren't required to come. i met with all parents just last month so i understand if some of you feel like it isn't needed. I agree.

​

Homework will change a bit starting on Monday Oct 24th. The homework sheet will be the same but more sounds will be added and students will start practicing writing their first and last names. . Also, remember to sign the box with the daily conduct. 

​

If you ever would like to eat lunch with your child, we go to lunch at 12:35. Just check in with the office and get a tag and meet us in the lunchroom!

Wvelcome to Mrs. Landry's 2nd grade site!

Students will be allowed to wear the 2016-2017 designated Milton spirit shirt Monday - Thursday, OR the Lafayette Parish approved uniform tops (red, white, navy polo) all with uniform bottoms.  Only this year’s spirit shirt can be worn Monday-Thursday.  This year on Fridays, students will be allowed to wear any prior year's Milton spirit/sport shirt with uniform bottoms. *NOTE:  This year, there will be no free dress every Friday as in the past. Free dress days will be reserved for special occasions and incentives throughout the year.

Welcome to Kindergarten! I am thrilled to begin the new school year with a room full of new faces. This is my first year teaching Kindergarten at Milton. This is my 6th year teaching here at Milton Elementary and my 9th year of teaching.  I am looking forward to an amazing year!

​

     I will post weekly academic agendas and school announcements on this site. I will try to post any important information or last minute updates on this site so please make sure to check it daily.  

    For pressing announcements, I will use REMIND texts to notify you.  Directions are above. 

    Classroom rules will be discussed and will begin the first day of school.  A conduct/ homework sheet will be sent home daily.  Please clean out the return side of your child's folder. Homework will be given, please go over it with your child and initial.

     Please remember when entering the school campus to first obtain a VISITOR'S TAG from the front office.  This is an important school rule we must all follow to make our school environment safe for our children!

 

 The 'Pennington Snack List' link is under the important links page..  We are strictly limited to this list for snacks at school.
